Touch your pain without getting stuck in overwhelm or terror
Trauma Therapy
By coming into deeper relationship with yourself, I help you fulfill your longings for a lasting experience of belonging, connection, and self-trust.
So that pain can be less painful.
How is this possible?
Your brain can unlearn painful (untrue) things you learned from hard experiences (like, I’m all alone, I’m unworthy, I’m bad) - if you come closer to your pain with “I’m here with you” loving energy.
It’s okay if your pain scares you or you want to run away from it. Or if you think you’ll get overwhelmed and stuck in it. Or if compassion and connection with yourself feels impossible.
I shape the therapeutic space so that we meet you exactly where you are - so respectfully and kindly - that going closer to the pain begins to feel okay. I also won’t leave you alone in pain. I’ll ground us in the here and now. I’ll help you understand your pain and how your system protects you from pain, in a way that deepens self-trust and compassion.
We’ll grow your capacity to touch your pain without getting stuck in overwhelm or terror. When we do that, your pain can transform into true inner belonging. Then, your brain can finally take in new learning and actually believe something else to be true about you or your life. This frees up space for peace and presence in your life and relationships.
There may be times where healing with ancestors will be a part of the journey. This happens when both you and your ancestors are open for communication and ready for co-healing.
Part of our work will be to support you in developing new skills and practices that support self-trust as you face your reality. I use brain change science to support building new habits and train your subconscious mind to activate specific positive energy and behaviors in you when you need them.

Virtual or in-person sessions (in Brooklyn, NY)
During the first two weeks of the month: We’ll meet for a 90 minute session for 2 consecutive weeks. Each 90 minute session is $600.
I’ve found that working for 90 minutes for roughly twice a month is more effective than for 45 minutes weekly, so I work in this structure that matches the typical monthly budget for therapy.
During the next two weeks of the month: Time off from sessions. I encourage developing skills and internal/external resources outside of therapy. I’ll support you in developing skills that target lasting change and deeper relationship with yourself. No fee here.
I offer this structure of therapy that supports brain healing and change.
I don’t take insurance but provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
